Our smokefree policy
Smoking is prohibited at all of our stations and on all of our trains, following the government’s legislation banning smoking in public places in England in July 2007. Smoking is not allowed in any part of the station including concourses, ticket halls, footbridges, subways, retail outlets and platforms, whether they are covered or uncovered.
There are signs to show where smoking is prohibited, and our smokefree policy applies to all of our stations, whether or not they are staffed.
Thank you for helping to make our stations a better environment for all of our customers and staff.
Smokefree in Wales
Smoking is also prohibited in all train stations including platforms, shelters and waiting rooms in Wales.
