Paddington Bear and First Great Western
Paddington originally came from darkest Peru where he was brought up by Aunt Lucy. When Aunt Lucy went to live in the Home for Retired Bears in Lima, she decided to send him to England to live and he eventually ended up at Paddington Station.
The Brown family were at the station to meet their daughter Judy when Mr Brown spotted a bear sitting all alone on a suitcase close to the lost property office. The bear had a label round his neck bearing the words 'Please Look After This Bear. Thank You'.
Unable to resist, Mr and Mrs Brown took the bear in and named him after the station where they had found him, Paddington.
Being from darkest Peru, Paddington loves travel. So he has decided to return to Paddington station, and by using First Great Western trains, explore the country. Here are some of his top tips for train travel;
Paddington's top tip # 1
Book your train tickets in advance and you could save up to 60%, plus you get guaranteed seat reservations too, which means you all get to sit together. Perfect for a family day out with the Browns!

Paddington's top tip # 2
As well as exploring brand new places, Paddington loves using his train ticket for 2FOR1 offers in Bath, Bristol, Oxford, Salisbury and Devon (and there are London offers too!). Last year, Mrs Brown took him to Bristol Zoo Gardens where he got to go on an aerial rope course, and visit Monkey Jungle and Explorers' Creek - all thanks to his 2FOR1 entry.

Paddington's top tip # 3
Just the other day, Paddington discovered that First Great Western have brand new TVs on some of their trains!
He was on his way out of London (and heading to the beach of course, the weather has been awfully hot), and there they were - on the back of the seats in Coach D.
He bought some headphones from the nice man at the café, and then watched all of his favourite programmes, including Glee and The Simpsons.
You can use your own headphones too, he really must remember next time......
