Get a three-year railcard

You can now buy 16-25 Railcards, Family & Friends Railcards and Senior Railcards for three years, saving yourself time and hassle while you make great cost savings too.

Family & Friends Railcard - £28 (£65 for three years if you buy online)

  • Save 1/3 off most Standard Class adult tickets and 60% on Standard Class child tickets. Get the discounted price for up to four adults and four children.
  • Visit friends and family or save money on a family day out.
  • Children must be aged 5 to 15 (under 5s travel free) and at least one named adult and one child must be travelling together for the whole journey. 

16-25 Railcard - £28 (£65 for three years if you buy online)

Aged 16-25 or a full-time student aged 26 or over?

  • Save 1/3 off most Standard Class rail tickets and integrated PlusBus tickets around the UK.
  • Visit friends and family, travel to gigs and festivals, shop and explore, and save money on travel.

You’ll need to provide proof of age (birth certificate, driving licence, passport or International Student Identity Card). If you’re over 26 you’ll need your college or university to sign and stamp your form, to verify that you’re a full-time student. A passport size photograph is also required.    

Senior Railcard - £28 (£65 for three years if you buy online) Aged 60 or over?

  • Save 1/3 off most Standard Class rail tickets and integrated PlusBus tickets around the UK.
  • Visit friends and family, travel to events and festival, shop, and save money on travel.

You’ll need to provide proof of age (birth certificate, pension book, NHS medical card, passport or driving licence). 

Network Railcard - £28

 Do you travel regularly in the South East?

  • Save 1/3 off Standard Class adult fares for you and up to three other adults (see the Network Railcard website for more details and restrictions).
  • Save 60% on the child fare for up to four children, aged 5-15 (£1 minimum fare applies).

Disabled Persons Railcard - £20 (£54 for three years)

  • Save 1/3 off Standard Class tickets as a disabled adult or child (see our ‘Rail Travel Made Easy’ leaflet.
  • Get the same discount for one accompanying adult.

You’ll need to complete the form on the Disabled Persons Railcard website and send it to the address given in the Rail Travel Made Easy leaflet, along with proof of your entitlement and a passport size photograph.

Cotswold Line Railcard - £7.50

Explore for less with a Cotswold Line Railcard, with some great off-peak discounts.

  • Get 1/3 off Standard Class Single and Off-Peak Day Return tickets for travel wholly within the Cotswold Line Railcard area.
  • Get 1/3 off the price of Off-Peak fares for a journey between any two stations on the Cotswold Line, including Worcester Foregate Street, Worcester Shrub Hill, Pershore, Evesham, Honeybourne, Moreton-in-Marsh, Kingham, Shipton, Ascott-under-Wychwood, Charlbury, Finstock, Combe, Hanborough and Oxford.

Complete our application form (PDF 1MB) and take it, along with your £7.50 payment, to the ticket office at Oxford, Charlbury, Kingham, Moreton-in-Marsh, Evesham, Worcester Shrub Hill or Worcester Foregate Street station.

Valid on all off-peak services from Monday – Friday, and all services on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. Mondays to Fridays the first services on which the discount is available are (towards Oxford) 09:09 from Worcester Foregate Street and (towards Worcester) 09:21 from Oxford. Discounts apply to the cardholder only. Please note, discounts on this railcard cannot be applied online and must be purhcased at either a ticket office or through our reservation centre on 08457 000 125 (7am – 10pm Monday - Friday; 8am – 7pm Saturday & Sunday).

Devon and Cornwall Railcard - £10

Do you live in Devon or Cornwall?

  • Save 1/3 off most Standard Class Off-Peak and Off-Peak Day train tickets across Devon and Cornwall.
  • Use your discounted tickets for travel on First Great Western, South West Trains and Cross Country Trains services.
  • Get 1/3 off the ticket price for one other adult.
  • Get a flat fare of £1 for up to four accompanying children aged 5-15, or £2 for Day Ranger tickets.

Complete our application form (PDF 859kb) and take it, along with proof of residency and proof of identity, to any staffed station, or any National Rail travel agent, in Devon or Cornwall.

Anyone aged 16 or over, who is resident within the counties of Devon or Cornwall, or Isles of Scilly, can apply for a Devon and Cornwall Railcard.

Valid for:

  • 1/3 off Off-Peak Day Return / Single for journeys wholly within Devon and Cornwall
  • 1/3 off Off-Peak Return / Single for journeys wholly within Devon and Cornwall
  • 1/3 off Devon Day Ranger
  • 1/3 off Cornwall Day Ranger
  • 1/3 off individual branch line Day Rangers for:
    • Tarka Line (Exeter Central to Barnstaple)
    • Atlantic Coast Line (Par to Newquay)
    • Looe Valley Line (Liskeard to Looe)
    • Tamar Valley Line (Plymouth to Gunnislake)
    • Maritime Line (Truro to Falmouth Docks)
    • 1/2 off St Ives Bay Line Day Ranger.

Not valid for:

  • tickets that extend outside Devon and Cornwall
  • season tickets
  • anytime or Anytime Day tickets
  • first class tickets, although you can upgrade a discounted Standard ticket at weekends by paying the normal weekend upgrade charge in conjunction with any other special promotion, unless specifically advertised
  • tickets on any special excursion train
  • bus services.

Devon and Cornwall Gold Card
