First Great Western has unveiled a new Conference Fares product with the Riviera International Conference Centre in Torquay.  Delegates to conferences booked at the centre can now enjoy great rail fares from most First Great Western stations.  There is also a modest add-on to the ex-London fares for travel from stations throughout the South-East.  At just £49 return from London in Standard Class (£99 in 1st Class) First Great Western aims to encourage more delegates to opt for rail as a means of travel to their conference.  The deal is also intended to make Torquay a more attractive destination for conferences, giving the destination selling point which is unique in the UK market.

These fares are bespoke to conference delegates and purchasers will be required to produce official proof of conference attendance by First Great Western on-train at at-station ticket examination staff.
