Rail customers are being urged to check train times before travelling this weekend due to engineering work on First Great Western routes.
Network Rail is carrying out engineering work between St Austell and Penzance on Sunday (25 September). First Great Western services will start and terminate at St Austell with replacement road transport running between St Austell, Truro, Redruth, Camborne, St Erth, and Penzance.
Other engineering work this weekend includes:
London Paddington to Southall – Sunday - two out of six lines will close and some services will be re-timed.
Chippenham to Bristol Temple Meads – Saturday and Sunday – services will be diverted with a rail shuttle running between Swindon and Chippenham. Road replacement transport will then operate from Chippenham to Bath Spa and Bristol Temple Meads.
Severn Tunnel Junction to Newport – Saturday and Sunday – two out of four lines will close and some services will be re-timed.
Cardiff Central to Swansea – Sunday – lines will close with services starting and terminating at Cardiff Central. Replacement road transport will run between Cardiff Central, Bridgend, Port Talbot Parkway, Neath, and Swansea. Rail services will run between Swansea and Carmarthen.
Cheltenham Spa – Sunday – lines will close with services starting and terminating at Gloucester. Replacement road transport will run between Gloucester and Cheltenham Spa.
