The Severn Beach line

The Severn Beach Line

The Severn Beach Line

Did you know that the Severn Beach Line is rated by Thomas Cook as one of the most scenic railways in Europe?  Setting off from Bristol Temple Meads and calling at nine stops along the way, it passes through the Avon Gorge and the mile-long tunnel under Clifton Down to meander down the Avon Valley to the Severn Estuary at Severn Beach.

The line provides a vital link for those who live near the line, enabling them to travel to work, visit friends and family or connect to the mainline at Temple Meads for onward travel.

Special Offer with Bristol Zoo Gardens
Bristol Zoo Gardens and First Great Western have teamed up to offer customers a great deal on entry to the Zoo.

You can get to the Zoo by travelling on the Severn Beach Line to Clifton Down Station, and then it is a sign-posted walk to the Zoo.  Bristol Zoo Gardens are offering one free child (aged 3 -14 years old) entry with a full paying adult on production of a valid adult train travel ticket to Clifton Down station.  The offer is valid on the following Sundays only - 22nd and 29th June 2008.
