Set amidst clear blue waters, the Isles of Scilly is a nature-lovers paradise. The islands are home to an amazing array of flora and fauna - many not seen in the UK mainland.
As there are no cars on the smaller islands, you can take a leisurely stroll and discover a landscape full exotic flowers, palm trees and herbs. Wildlife flourishes with rare bird species able to colonise in safety. As well as many marine animal species, puffins and seals prove to be quite an attraction.
The surrounding sea is home to rare corals and sea fans as well as vast kelp forests and sea grass, an excellent place for snorkelling or scuba diving.
Beach-lovers can try one of the many water sports on offer, or unwind on the incredible white sand beaches. The islands enjoy plentiful sunshine with little airbourne pollution.
Your journey to this wonderful holiday destination starts with a 
train journey to Penzance where you can choose either to fly by helicopter or travel by ferry. The flight gives you the opportunity to enjoy faboulous panoramic views of the sea, beaches and sub-tropical vegetation as you descend onto the islands.
Alternatively if you choose to travel by ferry, you'll feel a lot closer to nature and you may be fortunate enough to see the wonderful wildlife close up!
