Improvement work to close Maritime Line from Truro to Falmouth for a week

Wednesday 24 October

The Maritime Line from Truro to Falmouth is to be closed for a week between the end of October and beginning of November.

A regular bus service will operate to take passengers between the two towns from Saturday 27 October to Sunday 4 November.

Network Rail will be re-laying track as part of planned infrastructure renewal and maintenance work.

Julian Crow, First Great Western Regional Manager, West of England, said:

“The Maritime Line is thriving with more passengers than ever before and we welcome this investment.

“We’ll do our very best to make journeys as easy as possible while this work is carried out, providing a regular replacement bus service throughout the course of the works. We look forward to the improvements when it is completed.”

A half hourly bus service will operate Monday to Saturday, with an hourly service available on Sunday. Further timetable information will be available from stations or on the First Great Western website at www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk.
