Important information about late night suburban services between Paddington and Maidenhead
Friday 1 February
From 10 February 2013 Network Rail are carrying out major construction works as part of the Crossrail project to improve services in the area.
As a result of the work, a reduced late night Monday to Thursday service will operate between London Paddington and Maidenhead. The remaining services, running after 21.30, will have extra capacity added where it is available.
Last train times from London Paddington to Acton Main Line, West Ealing and Hanwell stations have also been brought forward to accommodate the works.
James Adeshiyan, Senior Project Interface Manager for First Great Western said:
"This upgrade is vitally important to improve customers' travel experiences for the future. To minimise inconvenience to passengers, the work is being done as late as possible and arrangements have been made for passengers to use TfL services."
The major works are essential to prepare the route for electrification and the new Crossrail rail link opening for services from 2018.
Arrangements have been made to enable passengers for Acton Main Line, Hanwell and West Ealing to use Transport for London buses via Ealing Broadway, during the hours affected.
Rail tickets to Acton Main Line will also be accepted on London Underground services to North Acton.
